Voodoo Theme

Guests will get the beat of the rhythm with traditional African drummers. These drummers are best in groups of 2+ to create a full sounding percussion ensamble. They are great to set a mystical or joyful tone for an event or can move around a party bringing the music to the guests.

The African Stilt Dancers are a showstopper at any event! These graceful dancers on stilts do high kicks and are dressed in traditional African costumes and dance and jump around on one stilt with ease.

These stilt walkers are dressed in African style attire including brightly colored costumes and masks with cowrie shells. They stroll in the event welcoming guests, great for a Voodoo theme, Treme’ Neighborhood theme or New Orleans theme event.

Guests have the opportunity to see a real alligator up close. They can pet the Louisiana native as well as hold them. These are great for photos opportunities. The handler brings in alligators of various sizes and then lets guests pet them and hold them if they are up for the challenge. Alligators have secured mouths and are easily held with a confident hand. Handlers usually come with (1) or (2) alligators depending on the guest count at the event.

Bring the mystic feeling of the voodoo lounge to your next event. These centerpieces include elements popular in voodoo including Colorful voodoo dolls, tall spirit candels, tarot cards and moss.

These (2) voodoo dolls are black fabric and are approximately 4’ tall. They are stuffed with soft material so that they can have any pins put into them without damaging the doll. We recommend putting a t-shirt on them so that guests can know who to pin the positive wishes onto. Client to provide signage for the area. Custom T-shirts are a great add on option

Magical Gris Gris bags are filled with red beans, rice & special herbs and are available for your Louisiana inspired event. We recommend having one of our voodoo priestess to make or just pass them out to guests. They can make a wish and put it in their left pocket for good luck. Custom Gris Gris bag station also available.

Enjoy the interactive station for voodoo inspired gris bags. Guests will get to choose their “wish” of choice that can be pre-rolled on the tables (good for larger groups) or can be put together by our onsite voodoo priestess. Options for traditional “wishes” include health, wealth and love.

Voodoo theme backdrops or vignette build outs are great ways to incorporate the voodoo theme. From New Orleans historic mausoleums to alters with lots of candles, photo backdrops or actual build outs make great spots for guest photos. Custom New Orleans style street signs are available as props for guests to use during in pictures.

Surprise your guests with cocktails served through the hedge wall. This living hedge wall can be branded for with the client logo or kept to look more like greenery with an option of various voodoo decor. For cocktail service, skeleton hands will be serving the guests drinks through the wall. All beverages provided by venue/caterer.

One of the many theme strolling tables available is the voodoo doll table, she can stroll passing out give away items such as custom gris gris bags or hand made voodoo dolls. She can also pass out appetizers or desserts. She can remain stationary to create a beverage station or service of hot foods. The table is 48” round and can have customized costumed made to reflect the company or sponsor logo colors.

These custom-made voodoo dolls are created by one of New Orleans most renowned voodoo historians. She creates each doll out of moss and twigs from New Orleans and each doll is dressed in the way that she is inspired to create them.

This traditional voodoo presentation is a blessing for happiness and prosperity for your group. It is a lively presentation with many elements that are presented through the blessing. It is lead by a voodoo priest or priestess dressed in the traditional all white or white with colorful accent pieces. The Priestess is backed by African drummers who play traditional rhythms and whom set the tone for the overall blessing.

The priestess will bring in beautiful dancers dressed in long skirts that flow with their graceful movement. The elements of the Stilt Dancers invoke the blessings of the sky as they tower above the crowd in traditional African dress and masks. The last element of the snake invokes the blessing of the Earth and is presented for additional strength. The voodoo blessing is usually about 15-20 minutes in length and is a great addition to fill time between band breaks or as a surprise addition to your event.

They are costumed either in all white which is traditional for voodoo ceremonies or in colorful attire like that worn by Marie Laveau, New Orleans famous Voodoo Priestess. The Voodoo Priestess will stroll the event and share history of voodoo with guests.
